Wheat Grass

Growing wheatgrass is something you can do really easily. If just needs 9 days, a tray, some coco peat, some water and some patience. Here is another great video by Jag Singh.

Give it a go. All you need is your wheat seed. In door or out in the garden under cover. You can do this. Leave your comments below to let us know how you get on.

Day 1 – Soak the wheatgrass seeds over night or fo 8 hours

Day 2 – Spread the germinating seeds over the coconut coir – Here is a link for ordeirng in the UK. Then cover with a dry towel and water over the towel the coir will soak up themoisture and no mold will form. Fold in the paper towel from the edges so that the wheatgrass does not grow into it. It will just lift up as the wheat grass grows and dry out.

Day 3 – Water the paper towel again. A little

Day 4

Day 5

Day 6 – Water a little more, the coir will soak it up easily and you will get no mold.

Day 7

Day 8

Day 9 – You are ready to havest.

Thanks Jag Singh, this looks super easy.

We used to make wheat grass so much when we lived in SG that we actally overdoased and ended up not being able to drink it again. So go easy on the planting. One tray will harvest between 2 and 4 juices shots.
