  • 1 cup barley flour
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 cups oat, almond, or nonfat soy mylk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make

  1. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl
  2. Add liquid ingredients until blended. Add water if the batter is too thick.
  3. Heat a nonstick pan on medium high. When a drop of water sizzles on the surface, the pan is ready for the cakes, which you can make any size you wish. After bubbles form on top of a pancake, flip it over and cook until brown.
  4. Top with fruit, applesauce, maple syrup, powdered sugar or cinnamon.
